Who needs a Payee Service?

Those individuals who could benefit from assistance in managing their Social Security funds, Pension checks, or Veteran's Benefits.

What is a Payee Service?

  • The Canton Center Payee Program is a non-profit program designed to help people on Social Security, pensions, or veterans' benefits manage their money. 
  • Our hours are Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 10am - 2pm, Closed Tuesday & Thursday

Benefits of a Payee Service:

  • Each client has their own checking account at Charter One Bank
  • We can contact Social Security for immediate answers to questions
  • In addition to regularly scheduled funds, clients are able to request money for special needs if sufficient funds are available
  • Budget management and individual budgets
  • Rent and utilities paid on time, decreasing evictions and disconnections
  • Open 3 days a week to benefit our clients
  • We are located on the SARTA bus line on Cleveland Ave NW in Canton.
  • Funded in part by the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Stark County and the Developmental Disabilities Board of Stark County

Links containing an asterisk (*) are able to be downloaded, filled out electronically, printed for signatures and saved. In order to download and save a document, right click on the link, click "Save Target As" and save the document in the appropriate area on your computer or network. Go to the folder in which you saved the document and open it. Enter the information, print and sign the document and then submit it to the payee center.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat Pro you will be able to save the information you have entered into the pdf (you will need to use the "Save As" option to save the completed pdf). If you are using Adobe Reader you will not be able to save the information you have entered. One option would be to print (or export) the completed document as a pdf; you will not be able to edit it further, but will be able to retain an electronic copy of what you are submitting.

All forms must be submitted via fax (330.453.1445) or in person to the payee center.
